About this Financial Services Guide
This Financial Services Guide (FSG) is issued by YP Securities Limited (ACN 647 627 889 | ABN 41 647 627 889), holder of Australian Financial Services Licence No. 531729. It is designed to help you decide whether to use the financial services we offer, and to give you the information the law requires us to provide before those services are supplied.
This FSG tells you who we are, what services we are authorised to provide, how we and our representatives are paid, what relationships we have that could influence the services we provide, how your personal information is handled, and what to do if you have a complaint.
You may also receive other documents from us or from our authorised representatives — including a Product Disclosure Statement for any financial product we arrange for you. Those documents are described in section 5 below.

Financial services we are authorised to provide
The conditions of Australian Financial Services Licence No. 531729 are set out below.
This licence authorises the licensee to carry on a financial services business to:
- provide general financial product advice for the following classes of financial products:
- deposit and payment products limited to:
- basic deposit products;
- deposit products other than basic deposit products;
- debentures, stocks or bonds issued or proposed to be issued by a government;
- interests in managed investment schemes including investor directed portfolio services; and
- securities; and
- deposit and payment products limited to:
- deal in a financial product by applying for, acquiring, varying or disposing of a financial product on behalf of another person in respect of the following classes of products:
- deposit and payment products limited to:
- basic deposit products;
- deposit products other than basic deposit products;
- debentures, stocks or bonds issued or proposed to be issued by a government;
- interests in managed investment schemes including investor directed portfolio services; and
- securities;
- deposit and payment products limited to:
to retail and wholesale clients.
We provide financial services only within the scope of these authorisations. If you ask us for a service we are not authorised to provide, we will tell you and, where we can, refer you to someone who is appropriately licensed.
General advice only
Our licence authorises us to provide general financial product advice. It does not authorise us to provide personal advice. This is an important distinction:
- General advice is advice about a financial product that is prepared without taking your objectives, financial situation or needs into account.
- Personal advice is advice that does take one or more of those matters into account. We are not authorised to provide it, and neither we nor our representatives will do so.
General advice warning. Because any advice we give is general in nature, you should consider its appropriateness having regard to your own objectives, financial situation and needs before acting on it. Where the advice relates to the acquisition, or possible acquisition, of a financial product, you should obtain and consider the Product Disclosure Statement or other disclosure document for that product before making a decision.
Who we act for
When we provide a financial service to you, we act on our own behalf as the licensee. Where a service is provided to you by one of our authorised representatives, that representative acts on our behalf and we are responsible to you for the services they provide within the scope of their authorisation.
An authorised representative will give you their own details, including their authorised representative number, and will confirm the scope of what they are authorised to do. If you are unsure whether a person is acting as our representative, please contact us and we will confirm.
Documents you may receive
- Financial Services Guide — this document, given to you before we provide a financial service to you as a retail client.
- General advice warning — because we are authorised to provide general advice only, any advice we give to you as a retail client will be accompanied by a warning that it does not take your objectives, financial situation or needs into account.
- Product Disclosure Statement — where we arrange the acquisition of a financial product for you, you will be given a Product Disclosure Statement issued by the product issuer, containing the information you need to make an informed decision about that product.
- Confirmation of transaction — where we deal in a financial product on your behalf, you are entitled to receive confirmation of that transaction. You may request confirmation of a transaction from us at any time.
You will not receive a Statement of Advice or a Record of Advice from us, because those documents relate to personal advice, which we are not authorised to provide.
You may give us instructions in writing or by email. We may ask you to confirm an instruction before we act on it.
How we are remunerated
The remuneration we receive depends on the service provided. The fees and charges that apply to you are disclosed to you before, or at the time, the service is provided, and are set out in the agreement or engagement terms under which we act.
Our authorised representatives pay us licensee fees for the licensing, compliance and supervision services we provide to them. Our directors and employees are remunerated by salary and may be eligible for discretionary performance-based remuneration; they do not receive commission calculated by reference to any particular financial product.
Where a fee or benefit cannot be stated in dollar terms at the time of disclosure, we will explain the method by which it is calculated. You may request particulars of the remuneration and other benefits we or our representatives receive at any time within a reasonable period after receiving this FSG and before any financial service is provided to you.
Associations and relationships
We are required to tell you about any association or relationship between us, our related entities, our representatives, and product issuers — where that association could reasonably be expected to influence the services provided to you.
Where such an association or relationship is relevant to a service we provide to you, we will disclose it to you at or before the time that service is provided. You may also request details of any such association or relationship from us at any time, and we will provide them to you free of charge.
Compensation arrangements
We hold professional indemnity insurance that we consider satisfies the compensation requirements imposed on Australian financial services licensees by section 912B of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and ASIC Regulatory Guide 126. Subject to its terms and conditions, the policy covers claims arising from the conduct of our representatives — including representatives who no longer work for us but who did so at the time of the relevant conduct.
Privacy
We collect personal information in order to provide our services and to meet our legal obligations, including our identification and verification obligations under the AML/CTF Act. How we handle that information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

If you are not satisfied with our services, please tell us. Email compliance@ypsecurities.com.au and we will acknowledge your complaint within one business day and respond within 30 calendar days.
